Construction Details

FLOOR SYSTEM
•2×6 pressure treated sills
•(3) 2×8 girders (built up on job)
•2×8 floor joist @ 16″ O.C. with required hangers
•5/8″ 4×8 CDX fir plywood floor sheathing

LOG WALLS & GABLES
•* “Cabin Grade” kiln dried eastern white pine logs
•All necessary foam gaskets, caulking, dowels and 10″ screws
•Window and door nailers with caulking
•Log siding and flashing as necessary for skirting

CEILING/LOFT SYSTEM
•2×8 loft joists @ 16″ O.C. or 2×6 ceiling joists @ 16″ O.C.
•5/8″ 4×8 CDX fir plywood loft floor sheathing
•Loft bearing wall as required

ROOF SYSTEM
•2×8 rafters @ 16″ O.C. with 2×10 ridge
•2×6 ties as required
•5/8″ 4×8 CDX fir plywood roof sheathing
•Limited Lifetime architectural roof shingles with felt paper and 8″ galv. drip edge
•Grace® Vycor® ice & water shield in valley

•4×6 pressure treated posts with 4×8 D4S girder
•2×6 porch rafters @ 16″ O.C.
•5/4×6 pressure treated decking
•2×4 ceiling joists @ 16″ O.C. with V-match knotty pine ceiling

 

HARDWARE
•All required nails are provided with the package

* Cabin Grade logs are shorter in length and have slight milling or other imperfections.*
