Construction of Complete Packages


Maine Pine Log Homes are the most complete building packages in the industry. Using the finest building materials and the latest techniques, we have compiled the products necessary for a durable, economical and attractive log home that will be a source of pride for many generations.

  • WALLS: 6" x 8" tongue and groove logs are secured with 10" screw fasteners or lag bolts. Precut hardwood splines, foam gaskets and caulking insure weathertightness. Log corners are pre-machined in our factory to save you time on the jobsite.
  • FLOOR SYSTEMS: The first floor system includes all the framing and sheathing above the foundation. Second Level, where applicable: Exposed Hemlock beams with tongue and groove solid pine flooring.
  • ROOF SYSTEM: Will vary with the plan or custom features you choose. Exposed beams or rafter/trusses with pine ceiling. Various insulation options available. Roof surfaces are plywood sheathed with class-A fiberglass roof shingles. Drip edge and ventilation products are provided.

Our full packages even include: Stairs, Interior Doors, Exterior Doors, Windows, Interior Partitions, Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets and other finishing touches. (Everything from closet poles and shelves to interior pine trim!) As a full service building materials company, Hammond Lumber Company is able to offer many custom options, such as carpet, inlaid flooring, plumbing and electrical fixtures, kitchen and bath fixtures, masonry supplies, paints and stains and appliances. We Cut Corners!


That's right! We cut your corners and package them separately so they are easy to find. The starter logs are clearly marked for the first course. We mechanically unload all logs and place them where they will be readily accessible. With our method, there's no need to scatter logs all over the job site to pre-sort them. Our pre-packaged bundles can be easily covered with your tarps until they are needed.

Logs are simply cut to the proper length on the job site which allows you the versatility to move a window or door. We'll supply you with the proper rough opening dimensions for all the doors and windows. With our drawings, the contractor or experienced do-it-yourselfer will have the means to complete the log home of their dreams.
